Remember Sandy?
The hurricane that devastated homes of thousands of people? Yeah the clean up is still not done (still) so if you are out spending your holiday money and feel like “oh yeah I can be of service as well.” Just so happens one of my clients is doing something great with her art, she is donating 100% of the proceeds of sales of the new single 6th avenue to the victims of Sandy.
I have been working and traveling with Ms India for the past few months and I was in the audience at Black Girls Rock tapping when she debuted this song and played the flute solo, folks were like what?? Yes it’s an instrument Ms. Arie is still learning and growing and what I’ve learned about her is she’s an “artist for the people.” Fans first, I have had the privilege of getting a sneak peek at the new album in the works and I’m very excited. This from a person who never really listened to India before, but knowing her as a person (an avid foodie) and an artist I see the intention behind the music and I can’t think of a better song to “stuff” an ipod with this chrismahunakwanzza (see how I did that).
